1. The United Kingdom (UK)’s Foreign and Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO) is the lead bilateral donor in the Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WaSH) sector in Ethiopia. Since 2008, the UK has developed a strong partnership with the Government of Ethiopia (GoE) working closely across the Ministries of Water, Irrigation and Energy, Health, and Education as well as with other donors.

3. The UK supports the Climate Resilient pillar of the GoE’s flagship program, the One WaSH National Programme (OWNP). This support is provided through the Strengthening Climate Resilience Systems on Water Sanitation Hygiene (SCRS WaSH) program over five years (October 2019 – August 2024).

4. The SCRS WaSH program primarily targets prioritized drought-affected areas. It aims to improve access to climate-resilient water and improved sanitation services, in addition to good hygiene practices for 1.2 million people in the prioritized drought-affected and drought-prone areas of Ethiopia.

5. SCRS WaSH TAP now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the Supply items described below for the intended use of Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) and Multi-village Schemes (MVSs);

# The following minimum requirement is expected from interested bidders.

1. Compliance with the technical requirement

2. At least 3 years of experience in supplying and delivering similar items.

3. Valid business license indicating the stream of business in which the Bidder is engaged,

4. VAT registration certificate issued by the tax authority.

5. Valid Tax clearance certificate issued by the tax authority (domestic Bidders only)

6. Client Reference letters demonstrating the completion of three similar nature projects.

7. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from the SCRS WaSH TAP office located at Woreda 03 Bole sub-City, Siham Building 3rd Floor, Room no. 303 Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

8. The bidding document will be available and can be downloaded using the following link xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx  From 10 th of October 2023 till 24 th of October 2023 against payment of Birr 300 via Tele birr after the filling of a form provided on the website.

9.  Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before the 24th of October 2023, 10:00 a.m. local Time (Addis Ababa Time). Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on the 24th of October 2023 at 11:00 a.m. local Time (Addis Ababa Time).

10. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of 2.5% of the total bid amount in the form of a Bank guarantee issued from commercial banks or a cash payment order (CPO).
